St. Mark’s is actively searching for a Priest to lead our Parish. If you are interested, please see the position description below.

The Parish of Saint Mark, Portland, Oregon seeks Priest

The Parish of St Mark has been a center for Anglo-Catholic worship in Northwest Portland since 1890. Modeled on the Basilica of St Zeno in Verona, its Romanesque Revival architecture coupled with a magnificent Werner Bosch organ makes it a truly special space to worship in the historic Anglo-Catholic tradition.

The Vestry and Parishioners of The Parish of St Mark are looking for a Priest to lead the Parish. Candidates already ordained or licensed to serve in our diocese the Anglican Province of Christ the King (APCK) are encouraged to apply, as are potential candidates from other Continuing Anglican dioceses such as the ACA, APA and ACC.

The primary job duties are

• Conduct liturgical services including both a Low and High Mass on Sundays. Deliver homilies relevant to parishioners’ daily lives. Be willing to learn the liturgical style and traditions of the Parish.

• Pastoral care: Visitations to home or hospital and pastoral counseling and guidance.

• Work with the Vestry, outreach committee and other parishioners as necessary to conduct the business of the Church and retain/recruit members.

We are interested in hearing from any candidates who meet this criteria and who would be willing to explore options regarding terms of employment with the Parish. If you are interested in applying, please send a resume via email to vestry@stmarkportland.org to indicate your interest.
